3. Why we use the data

  • to respond to your enquiry and take requested pre-contractual steps;
  • to assess suitable Swiss locations, property-search parameters or likely buyer-eligibility routes;
  • to arrange calls and communicate about your brief;
  • to prevent spam, fraud, misuse and security incidents;
  • to operate, troubleshoot and improve the website;
  • to measure site use with your analytics consent; and
  • to comply with legal duties and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We do not make a legally significant decision about you solely by automated means. Any initial property or eligibility assessment is reviewed by a person and is not legal, tax or financial advice.

4. Service providers and recipients

Formspree

Form submissions are sent to Formspree, Inc. for form processing, anti-spam checks, storage and email delivery. Formspree may process data in the United States and other countries and states that it relies on Standard Contractual Clauses as a data processor. Its privacy notice is available at formspree.io.

Google Analytics

With analytics consent, Google Analytics 4 receives usage events such as page views and button or form events. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, telephone numbers or form contents to Analytics. Google states that it does not log or store individual IP addresses for users in Switzerland, the EU or the UK. Google information is available at Google Privacy.

Hosting and third-party content

SiteGround and its infrastructure partners provide hosting, caching and security. Some pages may also load or link to services such as Calendly, Google Fonts and Unsplash. Those providers may receive technical data such as IP address, browser details and the page requested. If you follow an external link or use an external booking service, that provider's own privacy terms apply.

Professional advisers

If your enquiry progresses, relevant information may be shared with notaries, lawyers, tax advisers, financing specialists, property professionals or other advisers only where needed for your request, with appropriate discretion and, where practical, after discussing this with you.

5. International transfers

Some providers, particularly Formspree, Google and Calendly, may process data in the United States or other countries. Where a destination does not provide an adequate level of protection under Swiss law, we rely on recognised contractual or other safeguards supplied by the relevant provider, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, where required.

6. Cookies, local storage and analytics choices

Our pages store your analytics choice in your browser under rez_analytics_consent. This is first-party local storage and records only “granted” or “denied”. It remains until you change it or clear your browser data.

Google's tag is configured with analytics storage denied by default and advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation denied. If you reject analytics, analytics cookies remain disabled. Depending on Google's Consent Mode operation, limited consent or technical signals may still be transmitted without form contents or directly identifying contact details.

7. How long we keep data

  • General enquiries that do not become an active client matter: normally up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact.
  • Client, transaction, invoicing and accounting records: for as long as needed for the matter and, where legally required, generally up to 10 years.
  • Google Analytics user-level event data: up to 14 months.
  • Consent choice: until you change it or clear local storage.
  • Server and security logs: for the operational security periods used by our hosting and security providers.

We may retain limited information longer where necessary for legal obligations, disputes or the establishment, exercise or defence of claims.

8. Your rights and privacy requests

Subject to applicable law, you may request information about your data, access a copy, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, and request data portability where applicable. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where the law or a legitimate legal need requires it.

Please do not send identity documents or unnecessary sensitive information through this form. If verification is needed, we will contact you.

You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner at edoeb.admin.ch.

9. Security and confidentiality

We use proportionate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted HTTPS transmission, access controls and reputable service providers. No internet service is completely risk-free, so please avoid sending unnecessary confidential information through a web form.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top shows the current version.
